Tallan Gill embraces role at Kirkham Grammar

, Lancashire, is celebrating its first two months with its new head, Tallan Gill, at the helm.

Mr Gill took up the post at the co-educational day and boarding school in September, after leaving his previous job as deputy head at r.

His vision for Kirkham Grammar School is centred on a holistic approach, integrating academic excellence with a strong focus on the arts, music and sport, an announcement said.

With a background in professional rugby, Mr Gill held the roles of director of sport at both Wimbledon College and Latymer Upper School in London before becoming housemaster at

Mr Gill said: “I have been deeply impressed by the warmth and enthusiasm of the Kirkham Grammar School community. I am committed to nurturing this culture and ensuring every pupil thrives both in and beyond the classroom.”

Mr Gill has been meeting with staff and parents, listening to their insights and sharing his vision for the future. 

He said: “I want to build on the school’s strong foundations, working closely with our dedicated staff, engaged parents, and most importantly, our pupils. Together, we will create an environment where every child can find their passion and pursue excellence in all areas of life.”
