
Headington Rye Oxford Prep School has announced Bertrand Leullier as its new head.
Mr Leullier, currently senior deputy head at , will take on the role in September 2025.
The new head, a dual French-British national, brings over 16 years of experience in prep school education and a previous career in market research.
Caroline Jordan, head of said: 鈥淭hroughout the application process, Bertrand stood out, making an excellent impression on governors, staff and pupils alike.
鈥淗e will be taking over from our fantastic head of prep of 11 years, Jane Crouch, who has had an enormously positive impact on the school and provided calm, steady and confident leadership during a time of immense change.
鈥淪he leaves our prep school in a strong position for the future, filled with potential for continued growth and development.

A language specialist, Mr Leullier spent his 16 years in teaching at St Hugh鈥檚, starting out as a teacher of French before taking on roles of increasing responsibility, including serving as interim head during the 2022-23 academic year.

Headington Rye Oxford was created following the merger of neighbouring Headington School and Rye St Antony in 2024, forming a prep day school for girls and boys aged 3-11 and a senior day and boarding school for girls aged 11-18.
