Highgate School in London is set to open its first international campus, in Thailand.
The school is partnering with and the to establish the school near the Siam Country Club east of Pattaya City in Chonburi province, South of Bangkok.
The new school aims to provide “a first-rate academic yet holistic education within world-class facilities” a press release from the school said. Construction of the site is underway and will be ready to welcome the inaugural cohort of pupils in August 2026.
Highgate International School, Thailand will be co-educational, with plans to accommodate up to 1,400 day and boarding pupils aged 2 to 18 years. Mirroring Highgate鈥檚 three-school format, the international school will open initially as a pre-prep and junior school, with the senior school opening the following year. Pupils will follow the English National Curriculum, culminating in IGCSE and A-levels. 聽
A press release from Highgate said the school would be set in 鈥渓ush greenery鈥 with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a FIFA-standard football pitch, a golf academy, a library and media centre as well as purpose-built areas for STEM, music and the arts including a state-of-the-art auditorium.
The new school will be Highgate鈥檚 first project of this kind abroad, following in the footsteps of dozens of prestigious British schools which now have around 129 overseas campuses educating a total of 93,257 pupils. This has increased from 107 campuses and 71,660 pupils in 2023, according to the .
