Schools group Dukes Education has expanded its international presence by acquiring its fourth school in Portugal.
(CLIB) is a co-educational school founded in 1999 that serves more than 370 students from age 3 to 18 in Braga, near Porto.
The school joins Dukes Education鈥檚 three existing schools in Portugal, located in Lisbon and Porto.
The group also has schools in the UK, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Spain and Switzerland.
A press release from Dukes said that CLIB鈥檚 鈥渓eadership and operational frameworks remain unchanged鈥 and co-founder, Helena Pina Vaz, remains as head.
Aatif Hassan, founder and chairman of Dukes Education, said: 鈥淐LIB鈥檚 mission is to prepare students from intercultural and multilingual backgrounds for the future, a mission that accords strongly with Dukes Education, the organisation I founded ten years ago.
鈥淭he warmth of the school community together with the strong focus on high academic standards and concern for the emotional, physical and social needs of students make it an excellent fit with our other schools in Portugal and the wider Dukes family. We extend a very warm welcome to the parents, students and staff of CLIB.鈥
Founder of CLIB, Helena Pina Vaz, said: 鈥淛oining this prestigious educational group is a very significant moment for CLIB and our partnership marks a significant step forward in our mission to continually elevate the quality of education we offer to the Portuguese and international community of Braga. We look forward to the positive changes this will bring to our students’ educational experiences.”
